Sebastián brings 17 years of direct private equity experience in Latin America with a full focus on agribusiness, food and logistics and a having developed and implemented a strong operational approach to value creation. He founded Aqua Capital in 2009 and has led the firm since. He chairs the firm’s Investment Committee and has worked with the team in leading several of the firm’s areas, deals and portfolio companies’ Board of Directors. In 1999, he founded and led healthcare services operator Salutia and prior to that, consulted for Booz & Co in the Americas, with a focus on agribusiness and food. Sebastián has participated and actively contributed to the Boards of a number of NGOs and think tanks, including the Harvard Agribusiness SIG and Fundación CIPPEC. He earned a Masters' in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar, and a BA in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés. He has two children.
