Patricia is a Principal in KPMG’s Deal Advisory USA with over 18 years of public accounting experience in accounting advisory, mergers and acquisitions, divestures, IPOs, and audit.
She is a global professional who has extensive international experience advising multinational companies and while she is currently based in New York, she has worked before in Spain, UK, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia.
Patricia focuses on cross-border deals, advises multinational corporations, and leads Buy-side/Finance integration and Sell-Side projects, inclusive of conversion to/from US GAAP or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and implementation of new technical accounting standards. Further, she advises companies on IPO Readiness Assessment and execution.
- Extensive experience in cross-border transactions in the United State, Europe and Central and South America. Patricia has assisted companies listing on the NY, Mexican, Colombian, Hong Kong, and European Stock Exchanges.
- Provides technical and project management advice on complex accounting and financial reporting issues associated with the SEC registration process, IPOs, SPACs, Rule 144a debt offerings, carve outs and conversions from IFRS and US GAAP
- Leads multiple SPAC transactions covering several sectors.
- Carve-out/IPO project: Overcame aggressive project schedule for second largest IPO project globally in 2019; achieved carve-out and IPO in less than six months. Established stakeholder relationships and directed project team of 20+ to execute strategic solutions that enabled client to raise $5+ billion.
- Financial integration: Led completion of buy-side project and finance integration of $500 million Brazil acquisition partnering with client’s USA and regional team and leading and international team of 50+, and subsequent IPO in New York Stock Exchange by its US parent.
- US GAAP/IFRS Conversion: Led US GAAP-IFRS conversion project, for subsequent IPO in Mexico Stock Exchange for one of the largest-selling tequila brands in the world (raising $900+ million).
- Data & Analytics: Managed a diverse cross-functional team from Financial Reporting, Data & Analytics & Forensic to successfully rebuild historical operations for 9,000 vendors by using Data & Analytics tools which allow the client to enhance its collections processes and controls.
- Accounting Change – Revenue Recognition: Spearheaded implementation of accounting rules governing client revenue recognition operating in the software industry. Led transformation plan and team of 50+ to complete process within required timeframe.
- Accounting Change – Leases: Led implementation of new lease accounting software for the largest Spanish bank, inclusive of software implementation.
- Inclusion and diversity initiative: Manages planning and execution of KPMG inclusion and diversity networks: Hispano Latino New York and Women Initiative AAS New York.
