Miguel Algarin is the Director of Research at LAVCA. In this role he manages the research department, including execution and oversight of regional data collection and the generation of products and research services for LAVCA’s members and Latin America’s private capital community.

Prior to joining LAVCA, Miguel developed cross-sector experience working in healthcare, banking, and IT. Miguel worked at AllianceBernstein in the Private Client Wealth division where he supported three Financial Advisors and over 500 clients. He also worked at a government contractor in the Washington DC metro area which fulfilled IT intelligence contracts for the US government.

Miguel completed an internship in Argentina at Consejo Argentino para las Relaciones Internacionales (CARI), a leading Argentine think-tank. He also lived abroad in Italy where he completed his first year of graduate school at Johns Hopkins University.
