Steve Nelson joined ILPA in March 2018 and serves as Chief Executive Officer of the organization. He is responsible for leading ILPA in the realization of its mission to engage, empower and connect limited partners on a global basis. Prior to his role at ILPA, Steve built his career at Cambridge Associates where he served most recently as Board Member, Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Over nearly two decades with C|A, Steve held a number of senior leadership positions including co-Head of Global Consulting from 2008-2013 and Head of Asia Pacific from 2004-2008. Steve ended a successful tenure in June 2021 as a Trustee of the Loudoun Country Day School located in Northern Virginia and has recently joined the Professional Partners Board of EEqual, a national youth-run nonprofit supporting students experiencing homelessness. Steve is a graduate of the Carroll School of Management Honors Program at Boston College.
